FEBRUARY 2011
Pooch Porch is dedicated to making dogs happy by providing them with activities and exercise during the day when their owners are away. We
always provide a safe and caring environment where your dog can thrive and we understand that each dog has its own individual personality,
preferences, and needs. We treat each dog like our own making the daycare experience a positive one.
Benefits of Dog Daycare
Exercise
Most canine breeds need anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours of exercise per day just to stay healthy. Pooch Porch’s outside play yard provides
plenty of space for your dog to run, jump, chase, fetch and roll.

All daycare dogs are grouped according to their size and temperament.
For safety reasons, small dogs are never in the same group as large dogs.

Our doggie daycare engages, teaches and socializes your pet.
The old style of doggy day care was to turn dogs out into a large yard and let them hang out and have at it. The result of this haphazard method is that
dogs tend to lose the skills they learned in training, pick up and practice the behaviors owners worked so hard to cure them of. Our Doggie Daycare
includes the reinforcement of positive habits.

Daily schedule for dogs include supervised play and nap times. In our structured doggie daycare program at Pooch Porch, dogs rotate between
playing in small groups of 6 or fewer, and rest time. By offering a structured environment where dogs play with fewer than 6 other dogs selected
based on play styles and temperament, dogs get the socialization and exercise owners want. That way your dog doesn’t get lumped into a group
where he or she is injured and bullied. We want your dog to be willing and happy to come to daycare. Our goal is for your pet to go home tired but
happy from play and mental stimulation. The dogs get several play times depending on the weather. When the weather is great, they get to play time
longer and several times outside.

Break time
All dogs get a break in between the activities. This break is very important to dogs so they don’t get so aroused while in a group or with very high
activity that the behavior takes a turn toward something we don’t want them to practice.

Health
Not only do dogs need plenty of daily exercise but rest and nutrition are also important to their health and happiness. Pooch Porch’s structured daily
activities include naptime, lunch, snacks and, of course, plenty of water.

Safety
You can have peace of mind that your dog is safe while you can't be with him/her. Pooch Porch promotes a safe dog community.
